They announced David as winner, Joan started SCREECHING about how proooud she was that David listened to their fashion advice. (::::rolling eyes::::) Looks like a camera guy for E! went to Vancouver to give David his Golden Hanger, and his award speech went a little something like this...

DD: [obviously amused by this whole situation] Look at this... beautiful award. [Award is handed to him by someone off screen.] And it's so heavy! [He tosses the reeeeaally heavy award into the air, catches it.] Umm, wow. A lot of thought obviously went into the creation of this award, as much thought as I put into choosing my outfits and things like that, I'm sure. Um, I...uh.. [fiddling with the award, I think he broke it!] The, the *breakthrough*... [sighs]... is very nice. It kind of implies that in previously years, I've been kind of a... a bumbling idiot. I know that Joan Rivers didn't like some Dolce & Gabana I wore. I actually bought that. You see, that's.... that's really telling to me because I actually passed that in a window in New York and I said, "I have to have it!" cuz it looked like a couch. And, um, I love that suit. To me *that* was the breakthrough. Like most awards, I'm being honored a year too late. I broke through *last* year.
